Social Initiatives in the Netherlands

Dioraphte supports social projects that aim to improve human dignity and self-sufficiency. We focus on people living in poverty, people with disabilities, and those with a refugee or migration background, regardless of their residency status. Special attention is given to children, young people, and the elderly.

We prefer projects and activities that reach large groups of people in our society. That is why we focus on initiatives that go beyond the local, or to local initiatives that have the potential to grow into projects with regional or even national impact. Dioraphte applies a processing time of approximately four months. In general, we do not provide funding retroactively so please ensure that an application is submitted in time.

No funding can be requested for the following:

• single-day activities;
• purchase, restoration, renovation or new construction of real estate or movable property;
• festivities, participation in and/or organization of symposia, congresses, conferences, publishing books, building websites or producing films and other similar things;
• Activities that already exist in the area and are accessible to the target group;
• Activities that clearly fall under government responsibility;
• Institutions that are wholly or almost entirely government-funded;
• Initiatives with a predominantly political or religious character, 
• Organizations without ANBI (Public Benefit Organization) status.
