Inventive design and direction. And an effortless interweaving of musical styles that brings humour back to a serious opera. SALIX chamber opera excelled with its performance of The Bear. Created by new talent and intended for a younger generation of opera lovers.    <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dating from 1967, William Walton\u2019s The Bear is based on a play by Anton Chekhov. It depicts a tragicomedy that unfolds through a highly unlikely scenario. In it, grief, coping and seduction play a significant role. And it\u2019s this production by SALIX which Dioraphte is supporting with a contribution.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enough space<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SALIX is a new company that produces music theatre while creating opportunities for new talent. Their plans show a lot of ambition and an artistic growth potential. In addition to that, the Makers also produce the performance themselves and handle the ticket sales. In this way, SALIX provides young talent with plenty of room to explore the artistic, performing and production facets. As well as the entrepreneurial element.    <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sustainable<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bear premiered at the Grachtenfestival 2023. The stage set was built from sustainable and recycled materials.
